WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in the vicarious suffering; and the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe He was sent to the earth as our redeemer (John 3:16) and the fullness of the Godhead is found in Him (Col. 2:9). We believe in His immanent return and that Christ will gather His people unto Him in the clouds (I Thess 4:16-18).
The Acts of the Apostles and other Scriptures clearly indicate the authority of His name and that His name (He) is the door by which we experience salvation. (Acts 2:38, 4:12, See also, Phil. 2:10, I Tim. 3:16, John 1:11-14).
Our Creed
Our creed, discipline, rules of order and doctrine is the Word of God as taught and revealed by the Holy Spirit. (Saint John 14:26; I Cor. 2:9-13). All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works (II Tim. 3:16-17).
Repentance and Remission of Sins
Repentance from the heart is the only grounds by which God will accept a sinner for the sins he/she has committed. A broken and contrite heart God will not despise (Ps. 51:17). Before Christ’s Ascension, He commanded that repentance and remission of sins be preached in His name, beginning at Jerusalem (Lk. 24:47). Peter fulfilled this commandment on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:38). The 21st Century Church oF Christ has been issued a mandate to follow and adhere to the doctrine and teachings of the Apostles as they followed Christ.
Baptism of Water and the Holy Spirit
We believe that Water Baptism in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ is essential to salvation (Acts 19:5). Furthermore, we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 and Jn. 3:5, 7, is for all believers and that it is the completeness of the spiritual birth process for salvation.
